Digital Brinell Hardness Tester It is an electromechanical integrated product featuring a precision mechanical system and a microcomputer‑controlled closed‑loop system. The instrument eliminates the use of load cells, employs electrically driven loading and unloading of test forces, and utilizes a liquid‑level sensor with 0.5‰ measurement accuracy for feedback. The CPU controls the system and can automatically compensate for any loss of test force during testing.
The Brinell hardness indenter of the digital display hardness tester can be measured in real time on the instrument via the micrometer eyepiece, and the test force, indenter diameter, dwell time, measurement frequency, scale selection, and date are displayed more intuitively on the screen. During operation, simply measure the indenter and press the eyepiece button to quickly calculate the hardness value and display it on the screen. The digital Brinell hardness tester can save data and generate reports for retrieval, and it can also export results via its built-in printer. It is suitable for measuring the hardness of cast iron, structural steels, non‑ferrous metals, and soft aluminum alloys, as well as for assessing the hardness of hard plastics and other non‑metallic materials.
The digital Brinell hardness tester allows for precise measurements by selecting different test forces and load values via soft keys. It features adjustable illumination intensity, selectable dwell times, and displays the applied load, indenter diameter, test force, and measurement range on an LCD screen. Hardness values can be read directly from the display, eliminating the need to consult cumbersome lookup tables. This instrument is easy to use and offers enhanced accuracy thanks to its photoelectric encoder. Due to the relatively high testing force and large indenter diameter used in Brinell hardness testing, it is particularly well suited for measuring the hardness of materials with coarse grain structures, such as cast iron, non‑ferrous metals, aluminum alloys, and various quenched and tempered steels, as well as most construction steels supplied in the as‑received condition. Because this device employs a lower Brinell test force, it is especially suitable for very soft metals—such as pure aluminum, copper, lead, tin, zinc, and their alloys—yielding highly accurate hardness readings. The Brinell method boasts excellent measurement precision, resulting in superior repeatability and representativeness.
