Congratulations to our company on achieving satisfactory results in the international hardness comparison test!

At the beginning of this year, our company registered for the international proficiency testing program HD24HM—Participation to ILC Brinell, Rockwell and Vickers hardness tests of a metal (high hardness)—organized by France’s COMPALAB. Following sample collection, testing, and data submission mid-year, we recently received the final report, which confirmed satisfactory results in Brinell, Rockwell, and Vickers hardness tests on high-hardness metallic materials.

CompaLab organizes interlaboratory comparisons, also known as proficiency testing or round-robin tests, to evaluate participants’ ability to perform tests in accordance with ISO 13528 and ISO/IEC 17043. CompaLab is a globally recognized provider of proficiency testing services, and laboratories such as the Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and Baosteel have participated in its comparison programs.

In this proficiency testing exercise, our company used the XHBT-3000Z III fully automatic Brinell hardness tester to measure the HBW 5/750 scale. The HRC scale was tested using the 580RSZZ automatic Rockwell hardness tester. The XHVT-10Z all-in-one Vickers hardness tester was used to measure the HV5 scale, and satisfactory results were obtained in both error analysis and repeatability testing.

In the same year, our company also participated in the proficiency testing programs organized by Beijing Zhongshi Guojin Laboratory Proficiency Testing Research Institute Co., Ltd., including NIL PT‑4620‑2 for metallic Brinell hardness testing (international comparison), NIL PT‑4623‑3 for metallic Rockwell hardness testing (international comparison), and NIL PT‑4625 for metallic Vickers hardness testing (international comparison), all of which yielded satisfactory results.
