Leading the Standards! Three national standards co-authored by Shanghai Shangcai have been officially released.

Standards serve as a crucial foundation for enterprise product manufacturing and are an essential prerequisite for ensuring product quality and enhancing market competitiveness. By actively participating in the development of standards, enterprises demonstrate that a “standardization” strategy has become a pivotal core element for strengthening their core competitiveness and driving the transformation and upgrading of their traditional industries with comparative advantages.

Recently, the national standards GBT 230.2-2022 “Metallic Materials — Rockwell Hardness Test — Part 2: Verification and Calibration of Hardness Testers and Indenters,” GBT 231.2-2022 “Metallic Materials — Brinell Hardness Test — Part 2: Verification and Calibration of Hardness Testers,” and GB/T 21838.2-2022 “Instrumented Indentation Testing of Metallic Materials for Hardness and Material Parameters — Part 2: Verification and Calibration of Testing Machines,” which our company helped draft, have been officially released by the State Administration for Market Regulation. The standards will come into effect on February 1, 2023. Notably, GBT 230.2-2022 fully replaces GBT 230.2-2012; GBT 231.2-2022 fully replaces GBT 231.2-2012; and GB/T 21838.2-2022 fully replaces GB/T 21838.2-2008.

The release of the new standard will better regulate industry development and guide enterprises in adopting unified testing technologies and methodologies. As a domestic industry pioneer that currently possesses both robust capabilities and significant scale in the manufacture of metallographic preparation equipment and hardness testers, the company will continue to leverage its technological strengths, actively promote the application and implementation of the standard, and contribute to the high‑quality development of the sector.
